for almost 3 months i have been waiting for the Career Service Examination Result...

A total of 5,998 examinees passed the career service examinations administered nationwide last March 29, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) reported. This as the CSC reminds interested applicants of the July 26 Professional and Sub-Professional written examinations that applications will be accepted until June 10 only.Said number of passers comprises 10 percent out of the 60,009 examinees who took the March 29 exam. Of the figure, 4,312 or 71.89 percent were successful examinees of the Professional level while the rest were passers of the Sub-Professional test.

Jose Rafael D. Neme from National Capital Region (NCR) topped the Professional level with a rating of 90.68, while Romina Shayne T. Gabriel, also from NCR, topped the Sub-Professional level with a 92.68 rating.According to CSC, the new Professional and Sub-Professional eligibles can be appointed to second level positions and first level positions, respectively, in the government that are not covered by Bar, Board or other special laws, provided they meet the education, experience and training requirements of the positions.

after grad i have been applying for different jobs in different companies...(eching..!!!)
but i think i havent exerted much effort in my job hunting...

yesterday i was supposed to go to a call center training, since i have been told by my interviewer last friday to do so (i passed the interview ehhh)...!! but i did not..!!!know why?? yesterday i applied for a job...and gez what.... i applied without knowing what were they hiring..!!!hahaha
what was on my mind was this, ' i'll be applying in a government office, and that what matters'....

and now..???now, for a week ill be working as an encoder for the DSWD...hmmmp ill not be working in their office but in a nearby internet cafe...wahaha

wala tau magawa, lets just give this job the benefit of the doubt... on the brighter side, ill now have a true working experience which i can include in my resume for my next applications...(^__^)...

But know what..??? the idea of getting tanned again….huhuhu makes the fun a little less… for almost a week, I have been using whitening cream, hoping to have a fairer skin by the end of this year.. hehehe but now this beach thing seems to ruin my plans…(very chingching ruin daw tlga..??!!!)

hahayz…!!!I guess people really aren’t contented with what they have… the whites wanted to be tanned, while the blacks and not so blacks (brown skinned ba..?? hehehe..) wants to be fairer…

Nyahaha…I’m not sure if I got the spelling right…!!!

Yesterday I met, Azami and Rica, exchange students from Japan…they’re currently studying in UP…they are the roommates of our teacher who is taking up her master’s degree in UP…since its their sem break, they decided to visit Zamboanga… they were really fun to be with…actually they ate whatever we ate, kahit ung siguro grows for them…hihihi

Hmmmp…I’m much closer to Azami, maybe because she understands Tagalog better than Rica… you know na poh, no language barrier…hihihihi she’s a year older than me…and we talked a lot of what-abouts of Japan…hihihi trivia time…!!!

hmmmm.....i have to memorize Mi Ultimo Adios (Last Farewell) by Jose Rizal...hmmm

the poem has 14stanzas and is in Spanish, i cant even understand the words iam memorizing....!!!!waaaahhhh... i really find it hard to memorize words that i dont even understand... another thing is that we were not taught of the right pronunciation of the words....nOsEbLeEd...!!!!huhuhuhu...we have to recite it in front of the class next Tuesday and im barely even halfway...san ka nalng pulutin..?? basta...heres his poem....

Jose Rizal:

An American Made Hero or a True National Hero?

“In the history of nations there are names that by themselves signify achievement that recall passion and greatness, names that, like magic formula, evoke pleasant and smiling thoughts, names that became a pact, a symbol of peace, a bond of love between the nations…”,¹this is a part of Rizal’s speech, which held his audience spellbound, as he saluted Luna and Hidalgo as two glories of Spain and the Philippines. But it’s true that the name Jose Rizal, spell greatness and valor and the name itself is an epitome of heroism. Hence, now he is included in the list of the names that, more than a century ago, he tried to characterize as pride of our nation. He is a living proof of the proverb “a name is more precious than much refined gold”. Since years bygone up to this day, his name became the symbol of the Filipino race, and he has been venerated as the country’s hero. Still, many doubt his worthiness and legitimacy; maybe this is because we have different definitions of a hero, whether it is based on courageous acts or simply the wisdom to do what is right. Webster's Dictionary defines the word hero as a man admired for his achievements and noble qualities; one that shows great courage.² From this definition then, we can conclude that Rizal having attained so many honors in almost all fields, showing his great achievements and having published two books that exposes the exploits of Spanish tyrants, showing his unmeasurable courage, is a true hero.

But there still arise a never waning issue, that is, is Rizal a true National hero or an American made hero? For the rest of our discussion we will be dwelling in this question. We would try to answer latter part of the question, and drive our discussion to answer the former.

Now let us discuss how the perception of Dr. Jose Rizal being an American made and sponsored hero came into mind. In the year 1896, when the American government bought the island of the Philippines from the Spanish oppressors, a common wealth government was formed. Under this government, Filipinos started to frame up Filipino national identities which included the selection of the Philippine Commission a national hero to the Filipinos. The Taft Commission of 1901, particularly Civil Governor William Howard Taft, chose Rizal as the nation’s hero.³ Taft “with other American colonial officials and some conservative Filipinos, chose Rizal as a model hero over other contestants - Aguinaldo too militant, Bonifacio too radical, Mabini unregenerate.” But it has been said that America’s motive behind this decision is to instill in the minds of the Filipinos that peaceful propaganda and diplomatic approaches, in attaining Philippine independence, is more honorable and greater surpass the revolution done by Bonifacio. Hence, with these ideals imbued in the minds of the people under their rule, there is lesser chances of revolution and, in a sense, would prevent the Filipinos from rousing disrupt against the American Government.

The decision of the Taft Commission to sponsor Rizal was implemented with the passage of the following Acts of the Philippine Commission: (1) Act No. 137 which organized the politico-military district of Morong and named it the province of Rizal “in honor of the most illustrious Filipino and the most illustrious Tagalog the islands had ever known, “ (2) Act No.243 which authorized a public subscription for the erection of a monument in honor or Rizal at the Luneta, and (3) Act No. 346 which set aside the anniversary of his death as a day of observance.⁴

It is true that the Americans have highlighted Rizal among other heroes. But even before Rizal’s death, many people of his time, has looked up to him as a hero. Consider Bonifacio, he made Rizal the honorary president of the Katipunan and attempted to rescue Rizal from exile in Dapitan so that the latter could lead or inspire the Filipino revolt, thus showing that even Bonifacio himself had a deep respect and honored Rizal so much. Furthermore, two years before the Taft Commission selected Rizal, in the year 1898 Emilio Aguinaldo in honor of Rizal declared December 30 an annual “day of mourning”. It must be noted that both Bonifacio and Aguinaldo are contenders of Rizal to be the National Hero of the Philippines, but it is clear from the statements above that both of them have a high regard and great admiration for Dr. Rizal.⁵

Rizal, through his writings, had deeply influenced the lives of the Filipino people, and thus long before the Taft Commission chose him, he was already embraced by the Filipinos as a hero. If that is the case then Filipinos, other than Bonifacio and Aguinaldo which have already been discussed above, have their reasons why their sentiments are inclined to Rizal. One of these reasons is that even though it’s not evident, but Rizal is truly the prime mover of the revolution. Martin Costantino, a policeman from Bulacan, testified in Manila on September 9, 1896, that the objective of the katipunan was the massacre of all Spaniards and the proclamation of the independence of the country, “that as soon as the Spaniards have all been massacred the Supreme Head would be Rizal, who would come to establish his headquarters in the city.” Also Aguedo del Rosario, a book binder from Mindoro, state that “Rizal is the honorary president of the katipunan”. His portrait hangs in the session hall of the Supreme Council. Hence even if Rizal was not the one who planned the goal of katipunan but he was the inspiration of the katipuneros, someone who moved them to fight, which is evident in their plan of making him as their supreme head. Also, the speeches of the Katipuneros Pinkian and Tik-Tik are proofs that Rizal is the true prime mover of the revolution. Jose Turiano Santiago known as Tik-tik said: “In the meantime let us keep our spirits up with these battle cries: Long live the Philippines! Long live Liberty! Long live Dr. Rizal! Unity!” Pinkian, whose real name is none other than Emilio Jacinto concluded his speech with the lines “Let us all shout with one voice: Long live the Philippines! Long live Liberty! Long live the great Dr. Jose Rizal! Death to the oppressor Nation!” 6

His bravery and bold opposition against the slavery and apparent tyranny, through his literary works, kindled and ignited within each person his veiled nationalism. Indeed through these noble deeds and self-sacrificing spirit, he was able to get the sympathy of his fellow men which encouraged and motivated them, to move and insist from their foreign oppressors the rights they really ought to have, freedom in their own land.

Some Filipino says that Rizal is a reformist and against revolution,⁷ but this is not really the case, according to _________in his ___________, Rizal is not really discouraging revolution. What he was only trying to thwart is the unprepared up-rise against their evidently more powerful enemies, the corrupt and brutal Spanish officials.⁶

Another reason why Rizal deserves to be called our national hero is the fact that he brought honor to the Philippines. Because of his conscious efforts many foreigners including Americans, Germans, and the French people came to a realization and recognized the just honor that is due to our country.

“What is most admirable in Rizal”, wrote Rafael Palma “is his complete self-denial, his complete abandonment of his personal interests in order to think only of those of his country…the voice of the species was stronger than the voice of personal progress or of private fortune, and he preferred to live far from his family and to sacrifice his personal affections for an ideal he had dreamed of…He did not have great means at his disposal to carry out his campaign, but that did not discourage him; he contented himself with what he had. He suffered the rigors of the cold winter of Europe, he suffered hunger, privation, and misery; but when he raised his eyes to heaven and saw his ideal, his hope was reborn.8

Moreover, Rizal loved his people dearly and he willed to help the Filipinos in alleviating their suffering, and to help the country to free from Spanish tyranny in its entirety.⁹ Thus he said in his letter written in Paris, to Mariano Ponce:

Without 1872 there would not be now either Plaridel or Jaena, or Sanciangco, nor would there exist brave and generous Filipino colonies in Europe; without 1872 Rizal would be a Jesuit now, and instead of writing Noli Me Tangere, would have written the opposite. At the sight of those injustices and cruelties while still a child my imagination was awakened and swore to devote myself to avenge one day so many victims and with this idea in mind I have writings. God will someday give me an opportunity to carry out my promise.¹⁰

Dr. Jose P. Rizal showed us the greatness of a true national hero, who even being in the vale of deep shadow, in front of his wicked foes he stood strong, unmovable and firm to his vision of a better Philippines and he did not allow himself to be distracted by anyone from this objective. He endured the criticisms thrown at him and showed that he truly is a valiant hero, someone who was not afraid of any man- the Spanish Guardia Civils, the Dominican priests, and all his mighty and the powerful enemies- and neither was he afraid to die. In his book Jose Rizal, Life, Works, and Writings of a Genius, Writer, Scientist, and National Hero, Zaide said that Rizal was forced to escape from the Philippines due to two reasons, “first, his presence in Calamba was jeopardizing the safety and happiness of his family and friends, and second, he could fight better his enemies and serve his country’s cause with greater efficacy by writing in foreign countries”. 11 Hence, he did not escaped because he was afraid to die, but he was protecting his family, friends and his country’s cause. Up to the day of his death he never turned his back to his beloved people and to his fatherland, thus he has lived up to that name - the True National hero.

In the book of knowledge a certain proverb says, “A name is better than good oil, and the day of death than the day of ones being born”, yes! This is true with our very own Rizal, because of his words and deeds throughout the course of his life, even until the day of his death; he has acquired a clean and noble name. And due to this reason even if Dr. Jose Rizal, may have died more than a century ago, yet his name continues to live until this day, and his influence felt up to this very moment. Who doesn’t know him? You do know him, for sure! Somehow you are a true Filipino if you know Dr. Jose Rizal. Indeed Rizal, though his noble ways has proved himself worthy to be called our true “Philippine National Hero”.

after 2 months of vacation from the blogger world, im back...!!!!hihihihi

ive been very busy working on my thesis, that i was not able to update my 2 blogs...i also had to comply to so many requirements in school, thats the typical schooling in the Philippines i guess....we had to pass essay about Dr. Jose Rizal, being an American Sponsored hero, or a national hero...we had our midterm exam, report in our sociology and history class...waaaaaa so maka haggard...!!

yup yup yup...!!! my adviser approved my proposed topic....
and what is my topic title..??hmmmmmmm....

"Continued Fractions"

out of the three topics i passed last time,
1.upper bound of perfect numbers
2.inequality of arithmetic and geometric mean, and
3. continued fractions.... i was able to get the easiest one....!!!

my adviser is really nice, she does not put so much pressure on me...actually she let me choose which topic do i want to expound for my thesis....well, hmmmm definitely i chose the easiest one...and know what.? she approved it....!!! yahhooo...!!!!now i think i going somewhere na, i finally have directions....

p.s. our dean found it really nice, so we will be the ones to make the CSM tile mosaic logo...!!! indeed a great priveledge...hmmmm watch out for the next pics next time the tile mosaic for the entire CSM would be a lot more tiring, better and much bigger than this one...

project tile mosaic- for the CSM walk of fame

yesterday we made a tile mosaic, from the broken tiles provided for us by our College Dean....

there was about 60 boxes of rejected tiles given to our college by a local hardware(since they can't sell it anymore so they just donated it to our college)....

hmmmm....i brought the tile cutter which we used to cut tiles for the letterings....and the other part were from broken, crushed tiles putted together to form mathematical symbols and shapes....

all was well, and the finished product..???huh, out of 5tile-mosaics...ours was the best...!!!true..!!
we actually got a complement from our dean...and told us that we won the 1st prize...!!!

we were really shocked...since we never knew it was a contest among the four departments....well, its really good that we gave our best shot in making it...!!!

hmmmm i do have pics here, but i still cant post it now....i forgot to get my usb chord from my classmate....i hope i can post the pics tomorrow...!!!!

yup....finished it last thursday by our fellow project puzzle member memet, she is our team leader actually(nyahahaha)...

i still cant post the pics of the finished product...cause our members(kuno) decided to have the pictorials on sunday...so that all member(kuno) will be present in our group picture...hehehe

well, heres what my ate anniniput said,

I was given a jigsaw puzzle by ate bing. 1000 pieces of puzzles! Though I love solving puzzles, but this one I decided to just keep it because I don't think I can finish it myself. But last sunday, I was with my friendships, we decided to start the project and finish it as soon as we can. Oh men!!! We really had soooo much fun doing the whole thing! We started last sunday, and we did it for 5 consecutive days, I mean nights. Every after work and school, we meet at the receiving room of our KH. It's a brainstorming of minds and talents,LOL! I really should thank my friendships, I just coudn't do it alone. You know who you are friends...mga certified najud ta aning HALIMAW!!! hihihi! Once again we've proven that if we're together, we can do amazing and beautiful things with our beloved HANDS!

cloned chicken eggs spreading...!!!

yes, china is manufacturing cloned chicken eggs...

these eggs really looks like a real chicken egg, even when you open it or when you cook it... it looks and taste exactly the same as a real genuine chicken egg...

but precaution, original is still the best....and after eating cloned eggs in a matter of a week, we had this itchy rashes...

yes...my mom, grandmom, my sis and me...!!well its not yet proven, if the cloned egg is the real cause...but prevention is better than cure...and fakes are really not as good as the real ones...the nutritional value would not be the same...

how to know if its real or cloned..???

well, cloned eggs are about 50% cheaper...here in the Philippines a natural sized egg costs 6pesos, while cloned eggs are sold 3 for 10pesos...see the difference..??

hmmm, I'm not telling you not to buy such eggs....but what I'm just trying to say is, we need to stick with the best quality and that is, the real ones....

Zamboanga City sign language batch1 graduates

our sign language class begun, i think, last march 2005.....hmmmm if im not mistaken...hehehe
we had our class every monday night from 6-8pm....and after a yr, on may 23,2006, we graduated as Zamboanga City's sign language batch1 ...

i never expected that learning a new language, is that fun...well, thanx to our classmates(fellow Jehovah's Witnesses), the experience was really great...cant figure out whats the right term to use...but it was really fun...

and besides the new faces we met in our class, we now have the priveledge to extend our ministry to the deaf community...

We save for college educations, orthodontia, and weddings, but what about saving clean air, water, fuel sources and soil for future generations?”

We do not need be a soldier, aggressively marching down the battle field, to help our Mother Nature. Just be yourself and go green in your daily activities.

Here are 10 ways how we can go green:

1. Crank the knob
According to the National Environment Agency in Singapore, air-conditioned buildings need only to set their thermostat between 23°C and 25°C. Anything lower is a waste as you simply won’t feel a difference in temperature. For every degree you adjust, you spare the air 500 pounds of carbon dioxide.

2. Sweat the small stuff
According to http://ecofabulous.blogs.com, if every worker used one less staple, we’d save up to 330,000 tons of steel a day. That’s some heavy metal! Switch to a staple-less stapler, available at stationery shops, which folds paper to bind it.
3. Clean green
Household cleaning products give off chemical emissions that aren’t only harmful to the planet, but to you too. Swap yours for the eco-friendly and completely non-toxic Shaklee Get Clean products.

4. Age your driving style
Don’t speed: going 90km/h instead of 110km/h slashes fuel consumption by up to 25 per cent. If your car is fitted with a cruise control option, use it when you’re driving on teh highway to maintain a steady speed and save on fuel.

5. Eat closer to home
Transporting produce across oceans or by air is amajor contributor to pollution. The UN Food and Agriculture Organisation reported in 2006 that 18 per cen of the world’s greenhouse gas emissions were due to the international meat industry. Choose locally farmed produce and the demand for imported stuff will fall, along with CO2 levels.

6. Stash your trashRecycle.
Yes, it’s an obvious one and you would think that after hearing it so many times, we’d be non-stop recycling machines by now, but there are still so may of us who aren’t doing it! We chuck 19,000 tons of waste everyday, enough to fill 36 Petronas Twin Towers in a year! About 95 per cent of the waste ends up in landfills, which we’re quickly running out of, and who knows how much of it could have been recycled?

7. Be a cone head
The next time you feel like eating ice-cream, ask for a cone, not cup. That way, you can eat the whole ‘packaging’ and there’s no paper cup or plastic spoon to toss out.

8. Say no to the machine
Don’t ask for ATM receipts. If every one in the USA refused theirs, it would save a roll of paper more than two billion feet long, or enough to circle the equator 15 times. Malaysians would create a roll more than 330 million feet long, going round the equator two and a half times.

9. Think natural and cool
Using cold water to do the laundry saves 50 per cent more energy than using hot water. To dry, hang them out in the sun - the heat is a natural disinfectant - and you’ll again be saving energy, as an automatic dryer uses an average of six per cent of the household electricity.

10. Make sure your fashion is green.
We’re not going to say stop dry cleaning your clothes, because that’s just an impossible request. The next time you do, however, tell the cleaners to skip the plastic. Also, find a greener cleaner - Pressto dry cleaners use biodegradeable stain removers and detergents, and theor machines are eco-friendly too, designed by an in-house team of engineers and technicians. There are outlets in Sri Hartamas (opposite Cat’s Whiskers boutique) and Bangsar (Jalan Maarof).

Just imagine hiking uphill with your skirt, as in palda…!!!hehehe yeah its true….we went to Muruk a mountain here in Zamboanga to visit the people with the aim of preaching the good news of the kingdom. (Matthew 24:14)….so that’s the reason why we were in our skirts….at first its hard to climb uphill with the skirts swinging and the wind dashing…but i tell you, you’ll just get used to it…take it from me, actually I got used to it, for 5 years we visited far flung mountains with skirts and now I can say that im skilled in climbing mountains even in skirts…heehehe
What made the trip hard..??? hmmmm it rained again, just right after we ate our lunch… the rain poured so strong…that the ground was so slippery….that some of our companions have to take off their sandals and shoes and used slippers instead just to avoid slipping…

The journey was so long…(journey daw..??)hehehe….but after the long tiring walks and slippery ground…the trip was worth our efforts….hope the seed fell on the fine ground…but the hard thing is, returning to cultivate it…waaaaa its really really far to visit again….

hmmmm first day of school....hmmm i still have the summer hang-over....still can't believe i have to go back to school now...goodbye to thursday wholeday preaching....goodbye to late night TV viewing(???)...hehehe no..!!! not goodbye to that i still can watch late at night..hehehe

going back to school has its own nice thing, like meeting youre friends and classmates again after 2months of wandering around with out them...now with class breaks you can go out with them....

but you know whats the nicest thing that happened today....???? it rained so hard, that they have to suspend afternoon classes..!!!!hahahaha

so nice....vacation is extended....and guess what..??? i donjt have class on wednesdays and saturdays....which means that i dont have to go to school tomorrow..!!!hahahaha

last Saturday when we were having our deaf ministry...we bumped in to a house with a 17yr old girl named Diana..Diana is not only deaf, but also blind...!!it really touched my heart to see her in that condition, her mother told us that when she was just 3months old, she was diagnosed with rheumatic heart and, take note, overdosed with wrong medication...which caused her really ill situation now...

in her dark soundless world, lies an innocent young lady(should i say)....with her eyes who never have seen this violent, obscene world... with ears,that never heard the sad realities of life...!!!!

with the fact that i once had a rheumatic heart when i was born but fortunately got the rigth medication.....i can't help but think... "what if im in her shoe?what kind of world would i be living?is that a world, better than what i have now?no problems?no worries?or is that a world full of 'what ifs'?what if i can see..?what if i can hear.??what is the world really like..??or would her world be a world no one would ever want to have?"

so many questions running in my mind...she just really touched my heart...!!!

todaaay has been a long tiring saturday..!!

i woke up early this morning, fixed my bed(the usual morning rituals and all...), went to the Kingdom Hall (church of the Jehovah's Witnesses) for the meeting before our feild service...huh...would you beleive we (me and my cousin te jewel) where the early bird, we were the first to arrive...!!!hahahaaa for the first time in history..!!! if you have read my older post, i said that i am always late in every thing...!!!hahaha truly record breaking..!!!hihihi

we went to 36, upper calarian for our deaf search...30 minutes ride from our place...we paid 13pesos to the jeepney we hired, "pakyaw", that is what we call it...sad to say we haven't found a ny deaf-mute person...

for lunch we ate at kuya Archie's house....who sponsored opur lunch every saturday for 4weeks now...thanx alot to his family specially to nanay(MOM), and tatay(DAD)....who extended their roof and material food for us....

after our lunch, we went to Tumaga to visit Beverly, a deaf bible study of ate jewel...we paid 50pesos to the tricycle in which we rode...it was about 20mins ride from upper calarian...her place is located in a slum area, but we see to it that somebody can go and visit her once in a week...

going back to the Kingdom Hall for our Congregation Book Study (CBS), we first rode a tricycad...and walked the rest of the way...we passed by a hanging bridge about 500meters long, with no hand bars anymore, but it was still safe to use i think...

our CBS finished by 5pm...then JM and Kuya archie (both signers) went to our house to check ate jewel's laptop....and more things happened...

well, to cut the long story short....it was a really long tiring day..!!!

early this morning i went to school to finish enrolling....hah..!!!there were so many people in line in the cashier...now im starting to beleive that the Philippines is the LINE capital of the world....

yeah it's a sad reallity, that here in the phils you have to stand in line to wait for a couple of minutes or even hours just to pay in the cashier, to use public restrooms, to order in fast food chains, to get in a public utility vehicle, and even to buy food, that is, rice ( filipino's staple food at that..!!!)....

well, let's go back to my enrollment....(hehehe)

i just want to thank my friend CATH for processing my enrollment....thanx to her the only thing i have to do this morning was just to pay in the cashier.....she done most of the payments, "standing in line" for so many hours....Cath pangeeeeeeeeet ikaw....hehehe tlamat ling..!!!

hehehe...i hate rushing but i always do rush...maybe im just one of the living proofs of what they call "FILIPINO TIME".....yup...!!!its a famous line, which basically means that Filipinos are always late...!!!

the truth is....since i was in my grade school, i mean ever since i started schooling, i always am late...hehehe!!!i get in class 10-30 mins late,but thats only for subjects early in the morning. like 7 or 7:30....so everytime i realize that ill be late for my class, i start rushing...combing while eating...fixing my things while brushing...and things like that...!!!

huh...i hope i can change this really annoying attitude...i tried things like making a schedule and sleeping early so that i can wake up early. fixing my things the night before...but i still am always late.....any advice out there..???!!hehehe

after more than a month...im back...!!!

just had a very busy time....my father's uncle died and we were in the funeral for about a week...so we get to sleep for only 4-5hours....really tiring but the good thing is that i was able to meet my relatives from Bohol, Cebu and some from Basilan(the famous kidnapping capital of the philippines....hehehe jowk...)

we had a reunion after the funeral yesterday...family diputes were solved by our lolos and lolas (elders)...and i met my priest uncle...yup a priest..!!!they told me that i can visit their place anytime and they treat me the whole time...!!!wow what an offer..!!!but huhu sad to say, i dont have enough budget....(anybody willing to sponsor..????hehehe...)

well, hope i can also visit their place to....maybe on MAY (MAYbe next month, MAYbe next summer, MAYbe next year or MAYbe never...!!)hehehe

yup, i got paid for my 9-session tutorial....we will resume by june or july...when my student wiil have her class again, maybe to help her in her assignments and to further explain some points she would not understand from their lecture in class...

i just hope she learned something from me...and hoping that our sessions would help her, this coming school year....

know what..???it really feels good when your student would understand what youre trying to teach him/her...

everytime she says," AHHHH ok..." its like, "wow..!! i just helped her understand things she dont know before..." im also really thankful to her, cause i also learned some things from her...(she gave me advise in achne problems...heehehe)

i just really cant help but remember our number board game, during our mathweek celebration held last Febuary. It's really fun, you can try it...Just gat a large board, place 9 circles and in each circle place numbers from 1-9 or any signs, symbols, letters, or pictures if you like....it can be heart, star, square or anything that pleases you....this can also help you teach your children different shapes (if you choose to place shapes on your board), or colors or numbers...children respond more and aborbs more information when their having fun while learning....

Next, cut pieces of paper write the parts of the body you would like to use in the game, which may include left foot, right foot, left/right hand, head, left/right knee and elbows...put in a container...also write the symbols/numbers/letters/shapes in pieces of paper and place in another container.....this will be randomly drawn...

players in each board can range from 1-5, which primarily depends on the size of the board. but i tell you the more players are inside the board, the more fun you will have...

try it with your friends, siblings, family today..!!! i tell you itsfun..!!

during our class we always get bored...!!i guess its usual to all college student...(i just guess, cause it seems that everyone i know shares the same idea)

well, we sometimes find ways to have fun, even during class.....might sound crazy and rude to the prof,but what can we do..??its really boring to sit for an hour and a half...

the mother of my student(in my tutorial job) sent me a message this morning that we will not be having our session today cause she'll get her vaccinated, of what vaccine.??i really dont know, but im sure glad i didnt have to go today...!!! maybe im just not in the mood or maybe cause im not really prepared for our discussion today...
actually we are supposed to start our discussion on Geometry today...yes its our first day in our, second phase...!!! the first phase was basically about algebra and i havent found a hard time about that...but goemetry..???well, i dont know...its just that i think i already forgot our lessons in geom...so i have to do an advance reading before we start our session...well thanx for that whatsoever vaccine that i have more time to do my reading...!!!

i learned to play sudoku for about 3 years now...Sudoku is a deceptively simple game of logic, Sudoku is puzzling players all over world. Sudoku is easy to learn but a challenge to master.

i taught my 9year-old sister last week how to play this game...it took a little time and more and more explanations for her to understand... and finally she learned.. now she can solve an easy sudoku 9x9 puzzle in about 3mins...good for first timer, i think...!!hehehe

whats funny though is that one of my friends and my cousin, came to me yesterday with big smiles in their face... telling me that they now know how to play this game...it was a shocking thing to know that mi li'l sis taught them how to play...and more is that i never taught them, thinking they would not appreciate the game...hehehehe

ive learned sign language 3 years ago....as one of the Jehovah's Witnesses its a part of our preaching work to go and make disciples....

one of our goals is helping them to learn sign language(for the illiterate) and most specially to help them know the true god, Jehovah and to help them do His will...

maybe its one of their culture that they really appreciate people who could communicate with them, you can really feel the warmth as you try get to know them...as they see you coming they'll run to you and hug you, specially illiterate onse...maybe because they can only find a few who can understand what they want to say....

another thing is that, deafies know almost all the deaf in town...yes, even if they leave far apart but they know each other...and they usually, frequently visit each other's house...

i just hope all people are warm like the deafies...then i think everyone will have the whole town people as their friends...

i was from my tutorial today....we had to doubletime, cause we only have 8 sessions remaining and we are barely halfway to finish our coverage...huhuhu

im pretty much tired and exhausted....but the good thing is, my student cooperated very well....she answered all the problems i gave her....even though some are really tough for a 12yr old mind...but she showed interest today, not like our last meeting...waaaaahhhh last meeting was really, i dont know what to call it, a NIGHTMARE maybe....cause it seems that she absorbs nothing last time, maybe she was not in the mood...but i always tell her that, my time is being paid for by her mom and she would not like to waste her mother's money...and i guess she was able to think about it, and ching..!!!now she's in the best shape....

its summer vacation....and i havent seen my friends for almost 2 weeks, sigh..!!!

i just miss them... i just remember the last time we were together we decided to wander around, actually aimlessly, we dont know where to go and what to do...we just follow where our feet will lead us...we rode bycle with 3wheels, thats what we call tricycad...hehe
we reached a fancy, and famous restaurant, where the foods are so expensive and decided to get in as if we will dine and eat...even though we dont have enough money...but not knowing there is an affair going on, so we "incidentally" GATE CRUSHED..!!haha what a nice experience, we never thought gate crushinh would be that fun...hahaha

most of my classmates have their tutorial jobs too, we earn while studying...and while earning we are also learning...!!!yes, its true....we learn new and shorter techniques in solving problems which we havent learned in our highschool years....

actually i do admit,math is hard...!!!sometimes i feel like giving up...specially with really strict and wierd proffesors...!!hah...quitting is the best way to free from my worries and hastles...specially next year..!!!waaaaa next year..!! we will have our thesis..!!!huhu...

yes, i know..!!! 1 year more and ching..! hastles gone, worries free...

its summer time here in the Philippines now, the time when everybody seems to have unloaded their burdens and goes out of their daily or weekly routine (8hrs in their jobs, 8 hrs in school and additional 5hrs studying at home)....
it is during this time that people goes swimming in beaches and resorts, go hiking and lot more fun stuffs....it is the best time for children to enjoy quality time with their parents and to get to know relatives as they visit one house to another... well, i guess this is a part of the Filipino tradition--close family ties...

weew....its been a while since my last post right???hehehe

it has a really been a tough week....with all those exams, requirements to be passed, and all of those, what they call "ka ek-ekan ng mga teachers".....

the good thing is im now free with those burden....haa!i just hope i pass my exam in ECONOMICS...!!!actually that was the hardest i think....harder than my major exams....
well, ikaw ba naman, you have to memorize the laws in Agrarian reform and Taxation....memorizing, is just not my forte...!!!!im not good in that....

later this afternoon we'll be going to one of my grandpa's house....he invited us over for dinner....hope i can post some pics when i get home if ,that is if, i still have time to do so....

nyahaha, ive finished my report this afternoon....i was really able to express myself well knowing that our prof was not around...but im wondering just, how will she rate me.???!!!!

weeew....the hard thing is that we have to memorize the weird names and places...they have so many 'H' in their names.....2-3 'Hs' so hard to to spell....NOSEBLEED.....!!!

now, i have to study for my report tomorrow in our ECONOMICS subject....and for our MAJOR exam on thursday.....would you beleive????the coverage of our exam is from the startof the semester..????!!!!!waaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!

i just hope to pass all exams.....thats all....!!!!!!!

last saturday we went to the beach with our friend jen....we really missed that gal, her jokes, her weird trips, and specially the laughs we had with her everyday two semesters ago....

we visited her in their aparment, then she asked us to go to the beach....

we really had fun, taking silly pictures, wandering around aimlessly....

the nicest thing is that, we were like millionaires cuz we were allowed to get in the golf course....

we were able to hold real expensive golf club, imagine that..!!!thanx to those rich golfers who let us try them....

we took pictures, as if were really playing golf, we lied low on the grassy ground as we took pictures forming a circle with our heads...

the experience was great, the place was wonderful, the pictures were amazing......

but the sad thing is, the MP4 was stolen...!!!!huhuhuhuh

all of our pictures were lost...!!!!huhuhuhu

now the pictures are all gone, but the fun memories will remain....

we just really hope that we could go out with jen again before she leave for GenSan......

Dear Mommy,

I am in Heaven now, sitting on Jesus' lap.
He loves me and cries with me; for my heart has been broken.
I so wanted to be your little girl. I don't quite understand what has happened.
I was so excited when I began realizing my existence.
I was in a dark, yet comfortable place. I saw I had fingers and toes.
I was pretty far along in my developing, yet not near ready to leave my surroundings.
I spent most of my time thinking or sleeping.
Even from my earliest days, I felt a special bonding between you and me.
Sometimes I heard you crying and I cried with you. Sometimes you would yell or scream, then cry.
I heard Daddy yelling back.
I was sad, and hoped you would be better soon.
I wondered why you cried so much. One day you cried almost all of the day.
I hurt for you. I couldn't imagine why you were so unhappy.
That same day, the most horrible thing happened.
A very mean monster came into that warm, comfortable place I was in.
I was so scared, I began screaming, but you never once tried to help me.
Maybe you never heard me.
The monster got closer and closer as I was screaming and screaming,
"Mommy, Mommy, help me please; Mommy, help me."
Complete terror is all I felt.
I screamed and screamed until I thought I couldn't anymore.
Then the monster started ripping my arms off.
It hurt so bad; the pain I can never explain.
It didn't stop. Oh, how I begged it to stop.
I screamed in horror as it ripped my leg off.
Though I was in such complete pain, I was dying.
I knew I would never see your face or hear you say how much you love me.
I wanted to make all your tears go away.
I had so many plans to make you happy.
Now I couldn't; all my dreams were shattered.
Though I was in utter pain and horror, I felt the pain of my heart breaking, above all.
I wanted more than anything to be your daughter.
No use now, for I was dying a painful death.
I could only imagine the terrible things that they had done to you.
I wanted to tell you that I love you before I was gone, but I didn't know the words you could understand.
And soon, I no longer had the breath to say them; I was dead.
I felt myself rising. I was being carried by a huge angel into a big beautiful place.
I was still crying, but the physical pain was gone.
The angel took me to Jesus and set me on His lap.

I don't know what abortion is;
I guess that's the name of the monster.

I'm writing to say that I love you and to tell you how much I wanted to be your little girl.
I tried very hard to live.
I wanted to live. I had the will, but I couldn't; the monster was too powerful.
It sucked my arms and legs off and finally got all of me. It was impossible to live.
I just wanted you to know I tried to stay with you.
I didn't want to die.

Also, Mommy, please watch out for that abortion monster.
Mommy, I love you and I would hate for you to go through the kind of pain I did.

I hope this would make us realize that an unborn child is a precious gift of GOD to us...

A precious 4½ month old girl, burned by saline solution used to abort her. There are 4000 babies aborted each day in America,(one every 20 seconds).

We have led to believe that having abortion is removing a mass of tissue. LOOK AT THIS LITTLE GIRL, she is more than a mass tissue. She is a perfectly formed human being! IS THIS SUCH A GOOD CHOICE??

near to the canteen and to the comfort room, well its really nice to have class at room F11...

actually this was the first day we had class at that room...well i dont know what my prof ate, that he decided to have our class there....whatever he ate, i hope he'll eat that again....

its nice kasi to have class there you can go to the canteen anytime you want,and the nicest thing is that you can visit the comfort room with less hastle....

hahhahaha....nonsense ba????!!!wala lang trip ko lang....wala ako masulat ehhh....hehehe

by the way....next week will be our finals na, waaaaaahhhh!!!!!

this means headache again.....constant headache i guess...

its nextweek pa, but the pressure is felt na ngaun palang....

Nosebleed, a very wornout Filipino expression because of its constant use,which means mind grueling,brain wrecking phrases. In short, something highly complex to grasp.
For a better understanding of the word NOSEBLEED, let me introduce to you the perfect personification of this word, meet Mr. Nosebleed!!!

That's what we call him for his exceeding complicated choice of words.

7 minutes of introduction and a total of 1 hour and 30 mins to expolain a short 3-paged report, NOSEBLEED isn't it?

He always use words that are very foreign to us. My classmates unintentionally stare at each other everytime he utter those [nosebleed!!!] words, as if asking "kosa kel???" or " what in the world did that mean??" in English, and with big question marks floating in our heads.

But maybe the problem is not in him! Maybe its in us! (is it??)
Well, it would really not be unusual for an Education student major in English to be very acquainted to those unfathomably profound words.

But it is right to say, that it is justifiable for us Math majors to find it hard to understand those words.

Whats the nicest thing with Mr. Nosebleed?

Well he eats too much of our time, that we have enough time to study our reports.

it was just last week when we had our Science Breeders Week....

before the said week we thought it would be a complete 'bore'

since this year we will not be having our math camp...

but last week was fun, even though not that much,

but still it was worth remembering (duhh...!!!asus ek-ek)
